SPS Frag Tank Light

Hi Hi,

I have quite the collection of frag plugs cluttering up the sandbed of my DT. I was thinking about moving them down into the sump on an eggcrate platform. I am really cramped for space under my stand and would only be able to fit this 18W 9" CF-light over the "frag area".

Most of my collection are SPS. Would SPS survive if they were directly (think a couple inches) below this fixutre? http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...2&pcatid=11382 (The Coralife Mini-Aqualife).

Understood they won't look very good, but will they encrust and grow?

try it... let us know.. try one piece for a week or two and see what happens.. trial and error
