Lee-mar/vizio?
Can someone tell me the differences between these 2 tanks? I think i bought a Vizio sold to me as a Lee-mar.

From what I know, Lee Mar is a premium brand and Vizio is a lesser brand.

Lee mar normally comes with diamond cut egdes(but this could be just an option), Leemar overflow box is made out of 3/8" thick blk acrylic solid all around , the teeth are much stronger while Visio overflow box is made out of 1/4" blk acrylic with the glass glued from the inside. If you look inside the flowbox and see another glass pieces glued to the box, it's 100% Visio made.

Mines a Vizio then. Not hi-jacking but helping in clarification.
Good excuse to hi-jack? What's the purpose of the glass inside overflow? Strength? Mine is 1/4 inch blue one piece. I cut out the glass because it created a waterfall effect when the water hit the lip of it on the way down the inside of the overflow. My intake is about 3 inches lower than the teeth. It's still very strong without the glass. And now so quiet you don't even know it's working except for the hum of the pump. |
