Scolymia help

So my scolymia is receding after about a month in the tank. I have had this happen to several scolys over the years as they slowly seem to die. Am I missing something about how to care for these things? The rest of my LPS and SPS seem happy.

That's very hard to tell without more information. What's your lighting? Params? Tank occupants?

Lighting is 3x400 MH with VHO actinics. Tank is about 25-30" deep with the scoly on the bottom. The water params are "usual" except I usually keep my salinity at 1.023 as opposed to 1.025. The only occupant that "might" be bothering it is an emerald crab? I have seen it looking like it's eating algae off it for the last 2 days or so. It has been standing on it in the mornings. I had the same problem with my previous tanks in not being able to keep scolys long term (over 1-2 months). On the other hand, I have no problems keeping some stuff people claim are hard like heliofungias, Acros etc. Do people target feed their scolys?
