cal and alk droping

i have a calcium reactor set up and my levels still are droping do i just up the output

1) Check your magnesium
2) Check effluent pH--should be about 6.5...if it is higher pH than that you can either increase CO2 bubbles or decrease drip rate of effluent until it is 6.5

Not a good recommendation unless you know the media type. 6.5 is good for the large grain (and you can go lower). However if the user has small grain they can easily melt the media by dropping lower and are potentially already in the risky range.

cj hill, please supply any other information that might allow us to help you out. What reactor/media, pH, BPM, mL/min, size of tank and density of coral population, etc.
