You can have as much coral as you can fit in the tank. 2 Clowns is a little too much for a 12g but it isn't a big deal. You're fine!

your good, just keep up on water changes. I have a 12g with a maroon clown, scooter blenny, pistol shrimp, 3 hermits, 4 nass snails, 2 turbo snails, 1 nerite snail, a hitchhiker crab, and about 10x as much coral as you have

I think 2 clowns are OK. They don't need as much swimming room as most fish. As Kevan said, just make sure to keep up on water changes and other maintenance.

I agree that you should be fine as long as your params are ok. I have two clowns and a bicolor blenny in my 10g and they seem to do great. The blenny is the only one that does much swimming, the clowns just enjoy hosting this and that.

Ok so my 20% water change should be fine?
I had a really high nitrate level earlier like about 90? I did a 40% water change then added Seachem Stability bacteria cuz it was so much of a water change. How many more times should I perform a water change this week? Should I be go to go? I hit i think even higher 90's but I removed all my extra fishes and just kept two clowns. I think I overloaded my tank. Also everytime I change water should I always clean the filters? Filters that I have are on the first stage 1 carbon 3 sponges, 2nd stage Bio Balls, Carbon filter, Poly bio filter and third just goes back in to the tank. I was planning on adding macro algae chaeto in the third section before it goes back to the main tank. Anybody? |

Do you have a skimmer? What type? No way anyone can really answer this unless we know more.

Yes I use a SeaClone Protein Skimmer that is suitable for 100gallon tanks. I run it like 14 hours during night when my lights shut off. And yes I overloaded my tank before but now I only have 2 clowns as I was told I put too much fish in my tank I had 6. Just got it fixed today with a 40% water change. I was wondering should I do more water changes or should I test my water again to see if I should or just wait till next week.
