Tank lighting cycle questio
How long do most people have their actinics and MH on for? I know you usually turn on the actinic first and then the MH and turn off the MH first and then actinic.

There are many combinations, mostly depends what livestock you are keeping and the depth of your tank.
I have a 120g with T5 lighting. I have the actinic and blue bank of lights is on from 9am to 6pm. My daylight bank is on for about 1.5hrs in the middle of the day. If you check out some of the build threads or the lighting forum you'll see a lot of combinations. Enough to make you nuts with all the different opinions.

Moon Lights 6am -10 am
Actinics 10 am - 10 pm MH 1:30 pm - 8:45 pm Moon Lights 10 pm -Midnight DT dark from Midnight -6 am Refugium lights 8:45 pm - 1:30 PM (opposite the MH schedule) |
