New tank needs overflows! (Help)
I just bought a new tank..
Your post is in violation of the terms and conditions of use of this web site and has been edited. Further violations will result in revocation of your posting privileges. This is my new 300 gallon tank I just bought. I pick it up tomorrow Its a Acrylic Clarity Plus and the tank size is 96x24x30, it was used as a freshwater tank and doesn't have internal overflows and I'd really like to add some, So my question is, where could I get some overflows made or buy to put into this tank? I'm NOT looking for hang on the back overflows I'd really like them to be full length from top to bottom. Last edited by BlueCorn; 12/12/2009 at 11:28 AM. |

I'd contact a local acrylic builder and ask for help, or check in the DIY forum to get the best advice.

dont be scared ..drill it!!!....Not as hard as you may think. Just take your time, keep blade well lubed and area clean ( we used spray bottle and shop vac) stopping every min or so to suck out glass.....drilled 30gl,20gl, and a 10gl with out cracking!!!

It's an acrylic tank - the process isn't difficult but very different than glass. Acrylic is a great material, but especially once it's been used, it can be finicky.
