72 bow lighting question

Just a quick question. I'd like to give T-5's a try, and I'm going to be keeping this tank a zoanthid/acan/LPS mixed reef. Prob no SPS.

Will a 4 bulb Nova or Tek be sufficient? About 216 watts or so.

I'm trying to keep costs down as much as possible, so if "a 4 bulb would be fine but an 8 will be better" I'm going to focus on the 4 bulb side of the answer.

Thanks in advance.

How about an Aquactinics Tx5 fixture?

Great fixture. I actually have the aquatinics MH/T5. Run 2 250 watt and 2 54 watt t5's. Really the only fixture that would fit. I feel your pain.

it's tough. The Hamilton fixture in my signature is actually a 36 inch 2 x 250 watt MH that's suspended over the tank.

Looking to try the MH but I don't have the $$$ for the Aquactinics MH/T5 combo, although I've seen it in person

I'm using a Sundial 4x54w T5 fixture and the lighting is very nice.

what types of corals are you keeping under the sundial? I've seen those fixtures and they're nice

I have a GBTA, a Hammer, Zoas, GSP, Green Polyp Leather, and a Toadstool. Mostly softies but I think LPS would do fine too.
