What's a good LED to add to a T5 lighting fixture?
I want the shimmer of halides along with my T5's. Any suggestions?

I am using ATI fixtures with 2-Finnex 9x1w LEDs, and i dont have any shimmer at all. Perhaps the LEDs are too blue?

Too expensive. I want the colors i can get with T5's but with the shimmer of halides or at least some shimmer. I might try the icecap LED/T5 tube that just came out but i wanted to see what everyone else uses...

The only thing I could think of is a Powerbrite strip. Some on here have mentioned using a "LED light strip you can get from a hardware store", but I looked and didn't see anything good. No one followed up with any specific brand or store.

Current USA makes them, alot of online fish stores have them for around $60. I've heard mixed reviews about them. Some say they work great, others say they don't work at all. I imagine if you have good surface agitation you'd get something out of them.
