Definalty Aiptasia. I would use Aiptasi-X by Red Sea. Probably the best stuff out there chemicaly wise to get rid of it and completly reef safe and easy to use. BTW if you are not careful when you apply the Aiptasia X they can release little eggs and have babies. Also if you just have a few of them get a realy hungry Peperminty Shrimp from the LFS. I would get it as soon as they come in from a shipment.

Get rid of it NOW. I use joe juice or Aiptasi-X and they work great for me. You should be able to get it at your lfs but if not the can get it on line. Pulling it out and tweezing it did not work for me.

In a more recent thread, someone commented how they injected Aiptasia with vinegar and it killed it.

Is it growing right out of your other coral there? From the pick, it looks like it's attached to it.

+1 ....peppermint shrimp are the easiest way to make sure it is GONE. Only problem is that if you have anemones or plates, they will attack them once the aiptasia are gone (at least mine did). Just give them to a good home when they are done

Peppermint shrimp do work well. I also use pickling lime. Put an 1/8 cup in a coffee mug and add a little boiling water to make it thick enough to be pumped in the syringe and then inject the pests.

yes, it does look like it is growing ON your coral. I would be careful with non-reef-safe stuff there especially because it is so close to that coral.

The vinegar, (and just boiling water) are the best for getting rid of aptasia, HOWEVER, leave a nice 3" ring of death around them as well. If you have corals nearby(like the OP does) this is not a good choice.

I've injected them with vinegar right in the middle of patches of zoas and never had any die back of the zoas, but I don't use a lot of vinegar.

+1 for the pepermint shrimp, They usually only eat the smaller one though. I use pickling lime in a syringe on the big ones

I have seen people use the aptasia x and it seems to work well, but that close to corals i would lean towards the shrimp

Get it now. I haven't experienced it myself, but I've heard and seen the horror stories. It can take over your tank.
