can I hook my ro system to the water line that is to my toilet?

Sure

I assume you are talking about using the toilet supply line to feed your RO/DI. I don't see any reason not to, as long as you put a valve in there so you can remove the RO/DI without constantly tinkering with the toilet's plumbing...

I did something similar with the shower in our guest bathroom. See the valve with the blue handle:

Just be sure it is the line "to" your toiet and not "from" your toilet!
