Help with ID Please
Need help identifying this new development in my tank. I'm battling hair algae right now and hoping this isn't another type of algae (although I think it might be). The pics are a little blurry, but the culprits are bright red/magenta "tufts"

I had that stuff in my fuge.
Mexican turbos are thought to eat it - and I have seen my rabbitfish chow down on a puff that made it up the return.
