Algae scrubber ?
Is there any reason that I could not build and plumb one of these off my return plumbing?
If they work as good as they say and I have read they do...I could get rid of my skimmer and have a completely empty 15g return section that would be perfect for one of these...I read that people plumb them off their overflow but did not see anything about doing one off the return. anyone see anything with doing it this way? thanks in advance for your help and opinions

I don't see why you can't. My plan is to T off my return to feed my fuge. The water will run into the fuge via the ATS. I'm not planning on ridding myself of a skimmer, and I know the algae would grow faster with raw water, but I still feel there will be a lot of added benifit, and it's only going to cost me 5 bucks for a piece of glass

Agree with these folks, visit reefcentral.com for MUCH more info and answers to questions.
BTW, I am also working on building an algae scrubber for my system, I am interested to observe the differences and transition.
