How much improvement can I expect with VHO to T5 upgrade?
I've been running 4 x 110w VHO's on my 100 gal softy-dominated tank for about 4-5 years now, and I think I'm ready to go with T5's. I'm running an Icecap 660 ballast currently, and was thinking about going with 4 x 54w T5's with the intention of adding another 4 x 54w when I get my spare 660 repaired. But for the time being, how much improvement (in intensity, color, growth, etc...) can I expect just by going from the 4 VHO's to the 4 T5's? Thanks in advance for your replies!

Going from 4 vho to 4 over driven t5 on the ice cap ballast ( 54w to 85w) will be a huge increase in PAR.
It could possibly nuke your softies if not acclimated properly
