Which ATI SP for my 75?
I'm new and I'm currantly upgrading from a 10 gallon to a 75. I am setting it up as a mixed reef, I have a clam already and will be getting a couply more. Also I want to be able to put sps anywhere in the tank. So the question is should I get the 4 bulb or the 6 bulb?

6 Bulbs would allow you to house whatever you'd like (LPS, SPS, etc.) and you'll be able to 'tweak' the color spectrum to your liking. JMO!

I think you could get by with 4 bulb, but with my 6 bulb I sometimes wish I had 8 when it comes to tweaking colors.

Another question, what would be a good bulb combination to have a light blue color? Any pics of tanks with similar lighting for a good visual idea.

I have a 6 x 54 over my 75 and it is perfect. I had found that a picture of a tank with certain bulb combos didn't do it justice. Cameras just wouldn't pick up the blue / white combo properly. Here is what I currently hav on mine.
4 x ATI Blue+ 1 x KZ Fiji Purple 1 x ATI Aquablue Special I supplement this setup with 3 10k Current Powerbrite LED strips. My T-5's lean toward the blue spectrum, but with the addition of the LED strips I have 10k cutting through it all and I get a bonus of having some metal halide shimmer. |
