Large Angels are known to battle to the death once adulthood is reached. I have read multiple storie and witnessed it twice. The last was in a 450. IMO your bare bare minimum is a 300 gallon. You would be better off with a 450 or 500 gallon tank though. Regardless of what you do be prepare for the day (may be after years of peace) your Large Angels begin to violently fight. You would be amazed at how violent it looks when two 12 inch or larger fish go at it.

and since you added the "dream tank" scenario, I would suggest at least a 500 gallon. I wish I can afford and have the room for such a large tank like that because I would like to have an angel dominant tank.
