Feels horrible- lettuce sea slug
Hey!
I just got a LSS, and i loved it. I was such a stupid, and i didn't covered the filter suction tube with a thin net even though i never thought it can be sucked in from the net that is already on it, but it. And today after work iv'e been looking in the tank, and i couldn't see it. it was in tiny pieces, in the filter. the thing that broke me down, was to see the head+some body part moving on the glass after i placed it in the tank. sad to see. well, even though i feel so bad enough with emotions. what should i do with the body pieces? thanks, Roy. |

You should probably remove any remaining pieces, some of these nudibranches can be quite toxic.

get all them out, including the live bits. It is possible for the head to grow the body back, but in wild and rare captive circumstances. Lettuce slugs are toxic, and can release as much toxins as a small dead anemone, so remove..
