Anyone using the Ecoxotic stunner stripes?
Im debating on possibly getting the 420nm blue ones but just read that they have an actinic on?
Any one running these on their tanks? Also this is for a 10g |

I have both the Ecoxotic Stunner Strips and also the Ecoxotic Panorama Actinic and Panorama 50/50 (White and Blue). I really like the Panorama LEDs and just one Panorama Actinic is strong enough to fully illuminate my 65 gal. reef tank. If I were you I'd pass on the Stunner Strip and go for the Panorama. It's twice as bright and well worth the extra money - although for a 10 gal. tank maybe a Stunner Strip would be sufficient.

Here is a website with PAR numbers for the stunner strips.
http://www.yousaytoo.com/ecoxotic-st...numbers/194627 The company sales them as supplemental lighting. I agree with what is said above. If you are using them as primary lighting, go with the Panorama. I have seen a tank set up with these and it was sweet. I have a stunner strip as supplement and it really does make some of the corals pop but it is not enough to sustain anything. |
