Used Tank
I have a chance to get a tank really cheap but I wanted to check a few things first. This is a 180g tank that has sat outside in a barn for probably a year and a half. It has been covered but exposed to the heat, humidity, pretty cold winter (for georgia anyway); so I was worried about the seals on this thing once I fill it up. They look ok but I am not an expert at judging such things.

I wouldn't trust the silicon on it. If you get it definetly get it cheap as you will probably want to reseal the whole thing. by the whole thing i dont mean just putting new silicon over the old, you will probably have to replace all of it and remount the glass. it's a lot of work but if the price is right go for it.

Honestly I have used old tank many times with no issues....But the real question is do you want to take a chance....Usually the actual tank is the cheapest part of any setup....IE.
Tank ......400$ Other Crap 3,000 |
