If I kept my heat set at 66 my wife woukld freeze. She gets cold at 74.
I cool to 74 and heat to 72.
I would be uncomfortable at 66 myself.

FYI, some (Not All) RC members here have had their Marineland Stealth heaters explode during normal use. Buyer beware. MTCW.

The heater is a jager, already replaced tho.

I've gone through a few heaters in my 24 gallon Aquapod over the last two years. The last Stealth heater I had happened to stay on and raised my tank to 85 degrees, when I normally keep it at 79 degrees. Fortunately, instead of freaking out I turned off the lights and pulled out the heater and let the tank cool itself over several hours. I didn't lose any livestock or corals besides my nice colony of Pink Elephant zoas, which sucked. However, it could have been much worse with the 50+ frags and colonies of LE sps,chalices, and zoas that I've collected over the few years.

I keep my tank at 79 by having my Aqueon heater set at 79 and a cheap fan hooked up to kick on when my MH's turn on. The most my tank fluctuates is 1 degree, but I'm definitely replacing my heaters every 9-12 months. Spend $30 to replace the heater or potentially lose thousand in corals. In my 45 Oceanic Tech tank I'm planning on having two heaters, just in case one goes out.
