Best pump for an ATO?
I have a 120g with a 40g sump. I lose about 1 to 1 1/2g per day. I see many people using an aqualifter or a small maxijet. What is the best pump for an ATO?

I prefer the aqualifter as its slow pump rate suits my needs best. The slower infusion of Kalkwasser tends to have less impact on Ph in my system, much less than when using a small Maxijet impeller pump.

I second the aqualifter, I've used them successfully for years. I too have used kalk in my top off and its never impacted it like it does the maxi jets.HTH
