Copepod Health
I just started using an algaecide call Algaefix to check a proliferation of red and green algae. This is not a long term plan and I do know to control feedings and to check my RO source water.
With the algae being a food source for the copepods, will this destroy my copepod population? I do plan to move my chaeto back to my sump and dose with live phytoplanton when finished with the Aquafix. Thanks for replying if you have the knowledge or experience to know. No it wont, copepods eat mainly detritus and uneaten food.

I would skip the algaefix. Use ro/di water, perform more water changes and cut down on feeding. Time and low nutrients should do the trick. It took me ~3 months to really stop a huge hair algae outbreak that occurred when I was away for 2 months. Just take your time, have patience and enjoy it.
