Rock, Copper & Muriatic Acid
So, after doing some research on here, it seems the best way to remove copper from rock is to soak it in a 10:1 water/Muriatic Acid bath for 20 mins.
I'd like to hear back from people who've done this and are now using that rock w/inverts. Or anyone who is using rock that was once treated w/copper and that rock is now being used w/inverts. How did you do it? |

Thanks for the link! So, if I'm understanding this all correctly I should bleach the rock first and then hit it with the acid. Cover all the bases. I just want to be reasonably sure I get all the copper out so I don't start having mysterious invert deaths.

You can bleach it if you like. That might help remove organic debris.
