Mangroves

I have been floating some mangroves that I purchased from reefcleaners for about a month now. Does the fact that they're turning kind of soft mean that they are dead or dying? I've been misting them with r/o water daily.

you have to slowly acclimate them to water and light... if they were growing in fresh and you just stuck them in saltwater thats not good.

Mangrove really prefer to be anchor rather than floating. When they get soft ,it's because the inside has started to rot. Have they rooted or open up exposing the two starter leaves? I just picked up a hand full of pods i found floating on Clearwater beach, to put in my pond. They seem to do great in the pond ,but not as well in the tank. Once I had one live over a year in my sump, until it got to tall. Good luck!
