biocube 29
I just bought a biocube 29 and now im thinking of mods and stuff i should do before i set it up i am thinking about taking out the false floors and putting biocube protein skimmer in chamber one does anyone know if that skimmer is any good and in chamber two i was thinking of putting cheato and a little bit of live rock rubble and in chamber three adding chemi pure elite and maybe purigen if anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate it thanks

Instead of a protein skimmer I opted to create a media rack in the center chamber where I can keep a bag of carbon (or other chemical media)under the drip tray and chaeto under that with a refugium light shining on the chaeto thru the back window.
Do not waste your money on their filter cartridges jus put a little wad of filter floss on the drip tray where the water enters into chamber two. Toss and replace every 5 days or so!

thanks alot what does that just attach the back of the tank and what media baskets do you use

Yes, it attaches with a magnet on the inside of the tank and the light on the outside.
I made the basket out of eggcrate.Shaped like a capital "H". If you cut it right you can just snap it together with out any glue or ties . Took all of ten minutes!
