Do blue hippo tangs and blue powders get along ?

I have heard some people talk about blue powders and hippos not being compatible .... Maybe because of color ? Idk ... Can I blue hippo and blue powder get along in a tank ? Do they have to start out at same size ? And do they have to be put in tank at the same time opposed to having one then adding one later ?

Mine get along just fine. They were introduced at the same time. Oh, also they are in a 240gal tank. Tank size will probably make the biggest difference.

Long ago (30 years?) I tried to mix these, added at different times, in a smaller tank (55 or 75g) and had disastrous results. My guess is tank size is very important, and adding at the same time is probably a bonus.

It's a hit or miss but if you decide to give it a try, I would recommend adding the power blue last.

I totally agree. In a 240, probably work, in a 75 as an example, no way.
