White film on my rocks!

Does this look like something to be concerned about? It's on the one rock that I didn't bother cleaning. It feels really soft, and when I first rubbed it off I thought it was leftover decay from rotting shrimp I had in my tank. But when I got behind my tank, I realized there was a bit too much for it to be from my dead shrimp. Should I get this stuff out of my tank ASAP?

Nothing to worry about here, just a sponge.

IMO, that looks like the bacterial mat that often covers new, uncycled live rock when die-off and the associated recovery are occuring. And, with the additional comment on your shrimp, this also seems likely to be the case. Either way, the rock/bacterial mat can be left alone to cycle.

Also, IMO you should remove those damsels. Kindof like being locked in a room with a decaying corpse..

Haha, they aren't trapped, that's my future cave for a mantis shrimp with a couple doors. If they're smart they will realize that cave is not a good place to live. Its a 55 gallon tank with a powerful 4 stage filter, a good protein skimmer, and a 600 gph power head.

Wow. They are trapped in a glass (or acrylic) box, he was not saying you trapped them in rock work.
