Dual BRS GFO and Carbon Reactor

Thinking of getting this reactor for my new set up. Anybody that has it can you give some info on it....good or bad...Thanks

Good. I don't really like the MJ1200 that they recommend (it's loud when you dial it down), but it works just fine. I've been running it for 7 months now with no problem. The canisters seem heavy duty and made from quality material.

I have that one too. I use an mj900. Works perfectly. In hindsight, I wish I spent a few more bucks for the pro series one.

Good point about the MJ1200. I am running one too, and its super loud . I might try the 900.

I find it clogs too easily and I know others have posted of swapping out the sponges. I removed one from the first canister and it seemed to help, but after a couple of weeks it still needs to be cleaned.

You hit on a good point. Maybe that's why other people have had clogging problems. I clean all sponges in each chamber every time I change out the media. I've never gone more than one month without doing so. So, if changes go longer than a month, maybe it tends to clog. Makes sense.

What is the difference between the two? I've been looking at getting one.

I have a pair of the delux models and really like them. Very well made, has the pressure release and with seperate units you can adjust the flow rate for the media (less flow for GAC and more for GFO)

I also have them plumbed into my return pump

Awesome reactors and being able to hang them in the stand helps conserve space. I also run mine off the return pump. Buy a couple replacement sponges when you buy the reactor. Just like others mentioned they do clog but having a spare set on hand helps.
