household chores vs reef chores

Clean the garage, back flush the pool filter, pick up dry cleaning, organize closet, fix computer, get oil changed on car.

But, I have to clean the skimmer cup, do a water change, scrub glass.

do household chores ever win?

My dog is getting very annoyed with me. I'm either on the computer or messing with the tank (oh yeah, and I work). I'm hoping that once the thing is up and running and stable life will get more balanced again.

Very funny. I did about seven hours of yard work today and was so tired when I finished that all I could think of was sitting on the couch and having a cold beer...that didn't happen until I did some minor tank maintenance, then I had the beer.

My wife ensures that tank maintenance happens on my time and that household chores happens on her time. Needless to say I have a lot of long days when household chores are on the honey do list. Nothing worse than her sitting on the couch enjoying a glass of wine after doing some yardwork and me still doing tank chores.

Oh well though, I still enjoy all of it!

Sadly, that is my state too. My tank often gets the raw end of the deal when I'm too tired to work on it.

The funny part of this is that I get to tell everyone that I couldn't do chores because I was "working so hard on the tank". So what if there are some dishes in the sink and I have ring around the toilet. You should see how clean my skimmer cup is.
