replacing t5 lamps

I replaced my t5 bulbs in the beginning of February on my reef. My question is how often should I swap the bulbs on them? Its been 5 months already since the beginning of February.

I've heard 6-12 months so I'd say 9 months is a pretty safe bet.

hhhmm okay. and what about switching them out? would you do all the bulbs at once or one bulb ever few days to not shock the corals out? would they be okay if all the bulbs were switched out at one time?

I switch mine out every 10 months and I do all at the same time. After I switch them, I cut my full photo period in 1/2 and then add 1/2 hour each week.

I change my 4 T5's once a year, I do them all at once, keep the same photo-period put two nylon screens on the top of the tank for about 5 days, then remove one and have one screen for about 5 days, then remove that as well...

It works for me
