QT help please

Hi all.
I'm setting up my QT tank for the first time ever.
(Never used one before, and luckily, never had any problems. But I want to do it right.)

Is there a "How to do a QT tank" thread?

Some people say put in cycled foam, some say live rock, some say neither, just lots of water changes.

Some say different sizes, some say sizes don't matter.

Some say aeration, others say no.

Some talk about different types of mechanical filtration, but not all.

Is there an all-in-one thread? If not, can Sk8r make one and sticky it?
Since this is the NTH forum, assume I'm new and an idiot, please

Thanks!
Tom

I think there is a sticky around somewhere. I recall reading it once, but I can't seem to find it again! The article you posted gives pretty standard advice, and I would agree with it. I would add one thing: you should also keep a bottle of Prime or Amquel handy to neutralize ammonia, just in case you run into ammonia issues.
