Lights out?
So the air conditioner in our apartment building went out today. Our tank temp crept up.... We now have it stable, but I am worried about tomorrow.. Would we be able to keep our mh off to or row without a bad effect on our corals and tank in general? Or what should we do?
Any advice or ideas would be great! Thanks! |

I've heard of people freezing pop bottles of water and putting it their sump

Would it be ok to leave the lights off for a day? Or would it hurt our tank/inhabitants

That I'm not sure of only been doing saltwater for two years but I think leaving the lights should be ok but not a 100% sure.

I've had to drop ice in the tank when our power has been out, and it gets hot in Florida quick with no power. Tank will be fine without light for a few days. When a storm or Hurricane goes over the ocean, it can be up to week with no sunlight depending on how big and how fast it's moving.

i kill the lights when our power goes out too...oh wait maybe because i cant power the lights without power the corals will be fine. a little ****ed off for a few days, but fine. i also freeze ro/di water in ziplock bags and swap them out when needed to keep the temp down. you should be able to fit the bags in a chember in the back
