Apollo Led Lighting
I just wanted to give all who are interested some info on these. First off Joe the owner is a great guy. I am only a few miles from his house so i got to go to his house to check out the lights in person before i bought them.
I am rather impressed with these lights. I had 3 250 halides and two 96 watt power compacts above my tank. Right now i have the leds set at 50% for the blue and 35% for the white and it looks very similar to the brightness of the halide system. I was running close to 1000 watts before now im running around 170 watts for the same light output. I am quite thrilled. All of my corals seem to be loving the light. I also bought two corals from Joe in which are also doing great. I bought his controller with it also. It is very easy to set and functions well. There is 55 leds per unit which i believe there is a mix of cool and neutral white, royal blue and 420nm actinic. There is also 3 moonlights per fixture. They are driven by Meanwell drivers and have a heatsink installed also to get rid of the heat. I was thinking about buying one of the chinese models as i was following the Chinese led thread goiing on here. Im glad i didnt. I met him by chance recently on a different forum because he was advertising an Elegance coral for sale. I got to talking about his lights and bought a set for my 180 gallon tank. A two year warranty is included and i have it made because he is so local to me. I can just take it to his home. Of course im sure this will be a ploy to sell me more coral! lol Check em out if you are looking, i doubt you will be disappointed |
