Possible to overfeed corals?

I am fairly new to reefkeeping, especially corals that do better with target feeding, and was wondering if it is possible to overfeed corals. I know 1-2 feedings a week are adequate but would they grow even quicker with 4-5 feeding a week? I would love to hear what people who have had experience with this have to say.

Overfeeding may cause excess nitrates, phosphates and algae. Without knowing all the details of your tank, your corals and the quantity you feed it is hard to tell if you are overfeeding or not. I'm not sure what your reason for feeding so often is, please elaborate.

If you're worried about the coral eating too much, then no you can't over feed. However, like thegrun said, excess food raises nitrates, etc. Which is bad.

Also, go Hoosiers.

Ok, I don't really have a reason to feed so much, I was just curious, so I will just keep it to a couple times a week. Thanks for the advice...

...and go Cats!

To the best of my knowledge, just like everything else, nothing in excess is good. Coral growth is not just dependent on food, but lighting, water parameters, flow, etc.
