weird named corals/polyps

nuclear death, incredible hulk, captain america, radioactive dragon eye, tinkerbell, green bay packer, what is up with these names????

what other group of animals has so many pop-culture names

what's your favorite, most off the wall named corals or polyps?

Favorite off the wall name? None.

Just a way to jack up the price of zoas, acans, etc.

My personal favorites are LE and Rare attached to the front of the bubble gum names.

I personally hate the dumb names, but it does help you to get exactly what you want, when that's what you are looking for.

Purple People Eater's is one that I kind of liked.

I've heard that it's surprisingly easy to cross-breed corals. Most of the time it happens by chance in peoples tanks causing some interesting coloration - and names.
