Test kits
I am trying to figure out what tests kits I will need for my tank. 125 DT with a 55g sump/fuge. Thanks.

Salifert kits are good too. Initially you'll need ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. For a reef tank you'll also want calcium, alkalinity and magnesium.

IMO API is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to testing kits, Red sea makes pretty accurate testing supplies. Im going to run a poll lets see what the majority thinks.

in the first few months all u need is API ammonia nitrites nitrates, then once the corals start to come into play u will need one of salifert or red sea or elos or hanna for cal alk mag and phos.

for the range that api has it tests just as good as most others just don't read lower like most. API is a good starter kit though IMO
