Centerpiece fish 36 gallon?
My tank is in cycle now and once it's done I will be slowly stocking it with inverts then fish. I just wanted to know what fish could be a centerpiece fish and be reef safe? I will have some shrimp and 2 clowns for sure. I don't wanna overload my bioload and struggle to keep my fish. I just need one that is nice, healthy and will thrive in my setup... Down the line I may add zoa and Xenia but that's a ways away.

What are your current plans for fish? You'll want to take compatability into consideration when selecting your fish.

Flame or multi color dwarf angel?
I currently have a mated pair of black occellaris - like them. I also have a gold headed sleeper goby which is very active, then burroughs in the sand, sifts the sand through its gills, and had cool neon yellow and blue by the face. Fun fish to watch. Good luck |

if you choose just one make it a dwarf angel , multi color or red angel but a mated pair of clowns and an anemone will give your tank some personality, what ever you get take your time and choose the fish thats fits your environment best visit your local reef store often and watch how the one you want acts

I was surfing the web and I found a Hawaiian Potters Angelfish, it's a dwarf so I can keep it but should I introduce him last? I don't want him to be dominant in the tank but I really really want shrimp.. Has anyone had luck with Angels and shrimp?

Potter's angels are stunning, but one of the larger and harder to keep dwarfs (up to 5"). They're really better suited to larger, more mature reefs (they graze a lot and can be tough to feed). If you want a dwarf angel, consider one of the little guys like a cherub, flameback or white-tail.
I think a pair of clowns and a shrimp/goby pair would be brilliant with a cherub angel and a clown goby -- little fish, BIG personality, very low bioload (they're about 1" long).

I did a little research on the Hawaiian angel and it seems like a bad choice given my setup. I was just spitballing haha BUT i did find a longnose hawkfish, Its so cool although it says may eat small shrimp clams ect...
http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/Hawkfish/longnose.php this guys just catches my attention for some reason, but it says its aggressive but other places ive read says its non aggressive... conflicting info. also would he be ok with a pair of clowns and goby/shrimp? he has a really small mouth i dont see how he could eat a full shrimp.. maybe a baby shrimp |
