Refugium light
I'm setting up a refugium and would like some poeples opinion
Would this light be a good light for a refugium http://amzn.com/B0006G59TA If not why |

Are you also going to have a sump? Or just a separate refugium?
If you're just looking for a refugium lid/light, I say go for it. But if you're looking to run a sump/refuge combo I probably wouldn't have a full lid like that (no place to put a skimmer).

That light will work great, i have the same one over my sump.

It will be a separate tank which will be located above the display tank. That's why I was looking at a whole hood light.

I'd get a fluorescent fixture - save the watts and heat.

i use a massive helical CFL 80 watts. works great over a brute can fuge

I went to Home depot and got a silver clip on fixture and a 6500k bulb works great!

True. But I suspect the oem bulbs in that hood are lower still.
