Euphylia torch coral polyp bailout
Hi guys,
Just a quick post, I have been in the hobby for 20 years. But had a break after moving to Spain due to the unavailability of Marine fish and corals here earlier than a couple of years ago. I have a torch coral frag that recently fell into a zoa colony. Initially it looked Ok but then started to release from its base skeleton. It recently had started to split into 2 heads. As a final measure I have fragged the coral between the 2 heads cutting the centre flesh. Both parts have had a iodine dip and put back into the tank. I have little hope for the head that was damaged. But I am hoping that the other head will survive the fragging and no infection gets in the cut part. Any of you guys had success fragging torch coral before the flesh has totally separated. |
