New stand from r an j aquatics not impressed can I cut some of the back out
I just bought a tank and Stand from or a and j aquatics in Jacksonville and I am not impressed at all I was wondering my sump won't even fit through the front door if I could cut the back out you think it would hurt the integrity of the stand

My sump is 24 in ch long by 16 inch height by 14 wide my stand is 36 by 18 by 30. The back opening is 15 by 21. Only way to make sump work is cut back a little or should I buy a new sump

Post pics of the stand. Both inside and out.
If the back is simply a luan or plywood skin over a support structure then you're most likely safe to blow a hole in the back large enough to accommodate the sump. If the back is part of the support structure there's no way I'd cut it. If you must cut. Try loading sump from front and seeing how big of a hole you need in the back to provide clearance for the sump to swing in. It may be smaller than the hole you would need if you were to load sump from rear.

Put sump in from the top.
