Uv suggestion?
I have a 90 gallon dt and I'm combatting ich. I want to get a uv to help combat any further breakouts and give my fish a fighting chance. Which uv should I get?
Thanks!

Don't get a cheap one from Ebay I did and they last about a week. The better ones are good for about 6-9 months before you need a bulb replacement. Look at bulb costs the one I use is $50 for a bulb. Also many of them do not include a pump. I used a rio 400 at 160gph through it which worked very well.
I don't think a UV is going to do much for Ich however. The Ich parasite is not in the water column long enough to make it into the UV filter. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...tid=3666&r=650

First off you need to understand that a UV will not cure your fish from ich, or prevent future outbreaks. That is why it is recommended that you put any new fish in a quarantine tank.
