Unhappy Hammer Coral sick

I've had the Hammer Coral on the left for two months and the one on the right for about two weeks
and for some reason the left one has been acting weird and I have no idea why. Anybody have any input?


hammer

calcium - 420
salinity - 1.024
nitrate - 10 ppm
nitrite - 0 ppm
ammonia - 0 ppm

Are you saying it only starting acting strange once the second one was added?

yeah somewhat, a couple days before it wasn't acting normal. Nothings improved yet, even after a waterchange...

What else do you have in the tank? Anything that might irritate the hammer? How is filtration and lighting? And possibility of chemical warfare? How is alk and mag? It may be something out in your water that has caused a gradual decline in the hammer and the new specimen hasn't been in long enough to decline yet.

What are your po4s and alk? I would think something is of in your tank or you have a fish picking at it. What fish do you have?

My first guess would be Allelopathy - chemical warfare. If you are not already, run some carbon in a reactor. If you already are, change it out.

Choice #2 is that another coral is bothering it. Is there anything else close enough that sweeper tentacles are getting to it?
