Pearly Jawfish feeding
I got a pearly jawfish yesterday, and while reading up on diet, one of the things was "meaty foods." So shrimp should be ok, right? I have raw frozen shrimp, so just let it thaw, then serve, or? I know I'm supposed to feed next to it's burrow, so I am prepared to do that with a turkey baster.

Cut it into small pieces but that will work. Also feed some other foods. Frozen mysis, rods food. Any carnivorous frozen preparations will do. I would also add some new life spectrum pellets and formula one flakes. Feed the flakes or pellets daily and the frozen less often as it can affect water quality. The key is variety of foods.

It's a brand of frozen food.

I have two. I feed them pellet food daily. I also add about 100 live Mysid Shrimp every-other week and have a good population of assorted 'pods living in the tank.
Both of the jawfish will feed out of my hand and start looking for pellets when they see me near the tank.
