Help picking out third fish

I have a 20gal mixed reef tank. Currently I have 2 clown fish, golden coral banded shrimp, blood shrimp, conch, and snails and hermit crabs. I'm thinking of adding one fish to the mix. I have a lot of rock work and the clowns typically stay in the top half of the tank.

Whatever that I put into this tank will have to be transferable to my 210gal tank once it is up and running. I want to have a mix of tangs, cardinals, and wrasses in that tank.

Thanks for the help!

if you have pods on your rocks you could always do a mandarin.

I'm not sure I would add anything else. 20 gallon tank is pretty small for 3 fish and the banded may eventually eat your fish.

I think a mandarin in a 20 would be pushing things; the tank is just too small to provide pods long term for the mandarin to eat. Your two clowns are going to cause issues for you as far as adding another fish, particularly as they mature and begin to spawn. A flasher wrasse may be quick enough to keep away from the clowns, but it will be stressful for the wrasse, particularly at breeding time. The 20 gallon size of your tank just doesn't offer much room for another fish with two clowns who usually stake out about 30-40 gallons of tank space as their own and they do not like other fish in their space.

IMO; it would be difficult to maintain a mandy long-term in just a 20 gal, without a ton of supplemental feeding.

Ahhh... That makes since. Yeah, the two clowns are doing the hokey pokey a lot. While I have pods, they do come and go so a mandarin probably wouldn't be the best.

I guess I will just have to add more coral!
