HELP barracuda pump making strange noise (video)
When I got home today, I heard this very strange noise coming from my pump (I think it is from its motor). It is a metered and constant noise that sounds almost like a high pitch grinding. It has been running for two+ years and has never had this noise before.
you'll hear the noise at 4 seconds, 13 seconds etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Eupxx4bhIw I cut off the pump, cleaned out the fan from dust etc and it is still making the noise. (The pump is running very hot, put a large fan on it - but i think it always does - just mentioning just in case). Does anyone know why it is doing this? (My first thoughts were an air pocket or snail or something stuck, but I don't think it would be metered like this) Thank you in advance |

Thanks! Does this need to be done ASAP/ should I keep my pump off? Or do I have time to order the bearing in the mail etc?
And just so I know/can be prepared: what is the worst possible thing that can happen from this? Thank you so much again and that link is great! |
