HELP barracuda pump making strange noise (video)

When I got home today, I heard this very strange noise coming from my pump (I think it is from its motor). It is a metered and constant noise that sounds almost like a high pitch grinding. It has been running for two+ years and has never had this noise before.

I cut off the pump, cleaned out the fan from dust etc and it is still making the noise. (The pump is running very hot, put a large fan on it - but i think it always does - just mentioning just in case).

Does anyone know why it is doing this? (My first thoughts were an air pocket or snail or something stuck, but I don't think it would be metered like this)

Sounds like your bearings need replaced the motors last many years.
Doesn't get any better than this help wise

Thanks! Does this need to be done ASAP/ should I keep my pump off? Or do I have time to order the bearing in the mail etc?

And just so I know/can be prepared: what is the worst possible thing that can happen from this?
