Favia question.
So I've had this favia for several months, I'd say close to a year. Well the problem is everything else in my tank is growing, and this one well it has had the same four heads on it since I bought it. The colors are ok not bleached. It extends its tentacles when I feed the fish and I will spot feed it with oyster feast mixed with plankton and it eats. So my question is why is this coral not growing when all other around it are growing.

Favias are very slow growing corals. Can you post a pic of yours?

Yeah, some grow really slow, especially when they are just a couple of heads. Once you get to around 20+ heads you can start to appreciate the growth a bit better.

Thank you for the quick responses. I'll look for a picture in my phone as my tank lights are off.

It looks healthy so I guess it's just one of the slow ones. Five years from now you'll see that picture and say, "Wow! I forgot it was so small."
