That is my first question.

The second is for a 90g I would need two right?

Also what about a controller? Timer?


Forgive me I am new to the LED lights. Looking to switch from MH.

I do not have any experience with these particular lights, but they do not appear to be controllable. You could use a timer for them, but probably could not ramp up the light, etc. The number of lights needed would probably be somewhat dictated by the types of corals, etc. you wish to keep. Are you looking to change lights to save heat, save electric bill, or for some other reason? One of these fixtures uses more power than the 4 AI Sols I have over a 220, so they do not seem very energy efficient.

Gotcha. yea looking to save on heat, electric, and do something different.

I am looking for something on Amazon because that is where I have funds available. Anny recommendations for everyone will be welcome.

i see nothing wrong with them. 1 will cover a standard 90 gal.
i doubt that the Leds are driven @ 3 watts and besides you will probably never
run them full out both channels anyway. what i like about them is the honeycomb type optics (less laser effect) & close spacing of the leds (better for SPS Growing)
for the price & number of Leds it seems like a good deal, if the inside electronics are adequately competent.

I can spend a little more if there is a good one with a controller in amazon. I can go 600 if one will cover the whole 90 gal or two for 300. I do want to grow the hard stuff again.
