Fish Food

I've been doing some limited reading on DIY fish food mixtures because I'm interested in trying it. I do my fair share of flats fishing and offshore and have access to all sorts of marine life. Is anyone aware of any reason using freshly caught fish or bait could be bad? Diseases, parasites, etc....

Fresh fish always has a chance of introducing pathogens into a tank but typically the risk is lower than the reward of the quality foods. Just make sure that you don't feed any red meat fish to your tank.

Red meat such as Tuna or Bonita? Or salmon? What is the reason?

Freeze the chopped/blended up meats first to kill off any pathogens.
