Skimmer advice

I am looking for a great quality Skimmer for my new 90 gallon build. I will have a 40br sump and am looking in the $300 as my target price range. I was looking at the Vertex and felt it was a bit out of my reach. Yesterday I noticed the Reef Octopus Prime 150 int on sale from a site for 249. Other sites have it for considerably more while BRS, the site I have been planning to purchase from, doesn't carry the Prime line at all. Any thoughts anyone?

Check out Marine depot also. I would look into purchasing a quality used skimmer, most can be found at about 2/3rds to 1/2 the cost of a new skimmer. Look into the AquaMaxx skimmers, very high quality at a slightly lower cost.

I just bought the 110 for my 29 gal sump/90 gallon tank from Dr Fosters & Smith. They have the 150 for $229 and free shipping. I haven't fired mine up yet ,but have read a lot of good reviews for the 110 and 150. I would have got the 150 if I had the room.

Consider the Eshopps PSK 150 from Drs Smith and Foster for $200 or if you have the room the PSK 200 for @ $260 would be a beast on a 90 G SPS tank. Great value. Sicce pumps, and run well.

I see the Reef Octopus Prime 200int at Premium Aquatics for 319$. Is that way too much skimmer for a 90?
