How do my first corals look?
Since I don't really know EXACTLY what these are supposed to look like, I wanted to see what you all think of my two new frags.
I'm running Euphotica 24" programmable full spectrum LED light. Pictures are 50% blue 40% white. Here's my frogspawn. I orginally had it higher up in the tank in the center, but it didn't seem to open as much as I thought it should so I moved it lower. Not sure if there was too much flow, too much light, or both, but it seems happier here: Here's my zoo. Haven't played with placement because it seems (to me) to be happy here: Here's a couple shots of the tank, my clown and my dragonet. |

Man you must be spending a fortune on that dragnet with pods for food or happened to get one of the rare eats other food dragnets... Or do you have a pod producing refugium somewhere else as I dont see an overflow on the tank.
Looks like a maroon clown as well so hopefully there is not too much competition for food...

tank is 12 years old. Mandarin was a new add last week. I had one for several years in the past but he sadly died in a tank move.

Nice, No sump club
I know people who have kept healthy pod populations without sumps, just need areas the dragonet can't get to.

You can grow live pods and aphids to feed that guy. 10 gal tank make up some 1.15 salinity water add live phytoplankton, 5 tablespoons of miracle grow. Air stone 6500k light, pods amphipods, and use a micron sock or sieve every week to scoop em out! 50 percent change every 2 weeks remember to add miracle grow into the new water!
